Westbury Guitars will soon be introducing the new "Westbury Rival Series-22" where quality and beauty meet the perfect sound. The new Westbury "RS-22" will be the newest model manufactured by Westbury Guitars since 1981, and without a doubt, have the same historical impact for collectors and players as the older vintage models.
Before the new Westbury "Rival Series-22" becomes available, we have established an "Early-Bird List" for collectors and players to obtain the lowest possible serial number. This list is on a first-come, first-served basis. Go to the "Contact" link in the menu bar, and fill out your information. In the "Comment Box", please write "Early-Bird List" along with as much contact information as possible. Please include your first and last name, email and a contact number. There is no obligation to buy, this is just an opportunity to get in early on this historical event. The new Westbury RS-22 is being manufactured at this time. Images, specks and price, will be available on this site well before we contact you. Once you are contacted, you will at that time be given the opportunity to purchase the new Westbury RS-22. Thank you and welcome to the Westbury family! |
Let us tell you about Westbury's newest guitar. The New Westbury "Rival Series-22" will resemble a Strat type shape with a highly figured 1/4 inch thick flamed Maple Top in a deep, beautiful shade of brown. The body will be made of Canadian Hard Rock Maple with a 3 piece anti-warp Maple neck along with a 22 fret Ebony Fingerboard. The nut will be made of brass, so between the Canadian hard-rock maple the body, the Wilkinson modern trem bridge and the brass nut, the Westbury RS-22 is designed to achieve the absolute maximum sustain available on the planet.
Besides the beauty of this guitar, the secret to its sound lies in the formula between the tonal woods and the pickups that we use. You’ll notice that the guitar is predominantly made of Maple, other than the ebony fingerboard. Maple is a great tonal wood but tends to have a very bright sound. This is a good thing. The pickups that we use work best with a maple body. The DiMarzio choice we use is a high output humbucking pickup that pushes the low end extremely hard and cranks the mids hard as well, but pushes the highs only moderately which complement the existing bright tone of the tonal body wood and brass nut. There is no better pickup on the planet for a Maple body than the DiMarzio model we are using.
The New Westbury RS-22 isn't even out yet, and it's already been called a Super Strat. Although the pickup is a humbucker, the New Westbury RS-22 will still have single coil-like capabilities. This will be done with a push/pull volume control. The tilt headstock will come with high ratio tuning pegs and will exhibit our famous 2 tone "W" on the headstock. Also, the electric cavities will be completely shielded with conductive shielding paint and the finish on these guitars are second to none. The New Westbury RS-22 is ideal for both studio recording and for live performances.
These guitars are now being manufactured and, as noted earlier, you can add yourself on the "Early-Bird List" with no obligation to buy. Just go to the "contact" link on this site and write "Early-Bird List" along with your contact information in the comment box. Once again, there is no obligation to buy, so we won't ask for any payment information until your number comes up. We will then contact you and you can then make a decision at that time. There is an "Original Floyd Rose" bridge option which is considered a custom build. If you chose this option, you need to contact us by email info@westburyguitars.com or call (307) 278-0356 and let us know. You will then be taken off the "Early Bird List" and added to our "Orders" list which would require a 50% down payment. Welcome to the Westbury Family...
